Dental care for kids, can a dentist tell if you been smoking?
Okay so I am 14 years old and normally not a smoker. However with a few of my friends I did have a few cigarettes over the past week. Though I told them I will not be smoking any more because I do not see the fun in it. So note I have not smoked in like two days.
I was just told by my mom that I will be going to the dentist for my check up tomorrow. Will a dentist know that I tried smoking? Will he say anything to my mom about it. I am freaking out a little since someone told me you can tell that a person smokes by their teeth. I found this website on my mom favorites so I though this would be a good place to ask about it.

Well if you only smoked a few times a dentist will not know. Yes if you are a smoker that smokes daily it can stain your teeth and cause you to have bad breath. Not to go into all the other harm smoking does.
I would not worry about it just do not smoke any more it really just stupid to get into and hard to brake once you do.

Yep a dentist can tell if you smoke even one cigarette. You should just go to your mom now and let her know before the dentist sniches on you.
Okay really, if you only did it a few times and you have been brushing your teeth twice a day and flossing daily a few time of smoking is not going to show on your teeth.
I believing you when you said you stopped and that you just tried it a few time and nothing more. If so then don’t sweat it so much. Take this a a learning lesson not to continue or surly you mom will find out one way or the other over time anyway.
