Dental Insurance, Important Information.

Saturday, Oct. 9th 2010 4:27 PM

Many of our dental insurance plans have next day benefits including vision and prescription. Remember, buying dental insurance does not have to be a painful process. Finding the right value in individual dental insurance and family dental insurance is an important step in purchasing affordable dental insurance health care coverage.

Both types of dental plans (dental insurance and discount dental plans) have advantages and disadvantages and one size does not fit everyone. Keeping this in mind is an important rule when you shop for the dental plan that best fits your needs.

Our dental web site is very clear if you are selecting a dental insurance plan or a dental discount plan. We understand that there are many dental plan web sites popping-up all over the internet, claiming to offer “dental insurance” when in fact they do not and are not licensed to offer a dental insurance plan.

In order to reviee the dental insurance and dental plan we have available to you in your state just enter you zip code in the box at the top of the screen.  And remember our customer service is here to help you pick the best dental plan choice for you and or your family.

Dental insurance for kids, does not my dad have to keep me on his dental plan

Wednesday, Oct. 6th 2010 8:43 AM

I am 23 and a full time college student.  I have only a part time job and I live at home with my parents.  However just a few days ago my dad said that he would be dropping me of his health and dental insurance he has though work because they are increasing the cost to him being taken out of his paycheck.

I though he had to keep me on his insurance until I was 26 now.  What up with him drop me off it?  The health I am not too worried about because even though I am only working 25 hours I get medical insurance with my job.  I do not get dental unless I am working a full 40 hours which I can not do with school.

My dad know this and will not change his mind. Stated if he removes me from one it get removed from both.   I need to go to the dentist in a month for my six month check up.  What can I do now about getting my cleaning for free.

Family dental insurance needed for a private contractor

However the dental insurance is really not a good plan.  I was  not paying much for it since it was included with the medical I did not think much about it until we went to use the dental plan.  I do not want to get into a long story, it is safe to say that I need to get better dental insurance for my family before my wife nags me to death over it.  Can you give me some suggestions on a good dental insurance plans?

Braces for children, dental insurance and cost

Wednesday, Sep. 29th 2010 8:52 AM

My ten year old may need to have braces in the near future.  The dentist said that he has a overbite that should be taken care of once all his adult teeth are in.  I would like for him to have perfect teeth but would like some idea of cost and if it would be better for me to get dental insurance now or wait until he needs the braces.

Are there dental insurance programs for college kids.

Tuesday, Sep. 28th 2010 7:49 AM

I am just starting college and will be living close to campus.  I am 22 years old full time student and would like to get dental insurance.  My parents only have medical so I am on their medical insurance right now but they never had dental for us.  They would just pay the dental cost up front.  I can not afford to do that and do not want to have my parents keep paying for my dental needs too.

What are the consequences of not have dental insurance for my family

Saturday, Sep. 25th 2010 8:13 AM

Right now I do not have dental insurance for my family.  I just got a new job when my last job laid me off.   The problem is the health insurance is really not bad but I no longer get dental insurance.  My wife is upset by this we have one son and one daughter under the age of seven.

I really do not see a big deal about not have dental insurance since all we get are the cleanings my kids do go twice a year but for  my wife and I more like once a year.  When I shop out dental insurance the for the family they are costing $85 or more a month.   You times that by a year and I think we be better off paying cash for the kids cleanings.  What are some real consequences that I am not seeing in not getting dental insurance?

Benefits of Dental Insurance, Helpful information

Friday, Sep. 24th 2010 2:22 PM

Benefits of Dental Insurance

Dental insurance benefits vary depending on the type of dental insurance plan.  When reviewing the benefits of dental insurance especially when selecting a dental insurance plan, keep in mind there are various policy coverage options, dental plan deductibles, co-payments, limitations, restrictions and exclusions.

It is extremely important that you read the list of benefits provided by the dental insurance provider and be sure you are getting a dental insurance plan if that is what you wanted to purchase.

A reminder discount dental plans are not dental insurance plans. A discount plan partners with specific dentists to provide customers with a savings on visits to the dentist office much the same as dental insurance. The downside to discount dental plans is that they are not regulated and you have limited recourse if you experience dental problems.

California family looking for the best dental plan.

Tuesday, Sep. 21st 2010 9:43 AM

Family of six living in Los Angels CA looking for the best dental plan to get that is not too costly.  I just want a family dental plan that can help me save money for my family dental needs.   With six people to take care of you can see that even just cleanings and X-rays can start to become expensive.  So it would be nice to get a plan where preventive dental services would be free.

Looking for competitive dental insurance plan for my family

Monday, Sep. 20th 2010 9:35 AM

Both my wife and I work for the same company that offers us the medical and dental.  We both feel the medical we will have to deal with but the dental they are offering is a joke plan and not worth having the $20.00 or so taken out of one of our pay checks.

We are a small family of three right now and we would like to find a better dental insurance plan that would be more competitive and offer better coverages then what our job is offering to us.

Family dental PPO (Preferred Providers Organizations) Insurance

Sunday, Sep. 19th 2010 2:16 PM

Preferred Provider Organizations

Another true insurance plan, a Preferred provider organizations ( PPO) falls somewhere between an indemnity plan and a dental HMO. This plan allows a particular group of patients to receive dental care from a defined panel of dentists.

The participating dentist agrees to charge less than usual fees to this specific patient base, providing savings for the plan purchaser. If the patient chooses to see a dentist who is not designated as a “preferred provider,” that patient may be required to pay a greater share of the fee-for-service.

A group of dentists agrees to provide services at a deeply discounted rate, giving you substantial savings — as long as you stay in their network. Unlike the more restrictive DHMO, though, you can go out of network and still receive some benefits. Some typical features of these plans:

  • Monthly premiums
  • Annual dollar maximum limitation per person
  • You must stay within the approved network of dentists or you may have to pay higher deductibles and co-payments
  • Your average monthly cost: $25 – $45 for a individual
  • Companies selling these plans are regulated by state insurance departments.

Self Employed, where can you get family dental insurance

Sunday, Sep. 19th 2010 9:27 AM

Right now both my husband and I work.  The medical and dental insurance we had was though my husband’s job.  My husband is in the process of starting up his own computer business,  therefore once he makes the change we will not be able to keep our  insurance.

I will be able to pick up the medical insurance with my job, but I do not get dental insurance  like he did. I am very concerned about finding affordable dental insurance for us and our two children.  Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Dental insurance, How much do you pay for family dental insurance?

Thursday, Sep. 16th 2010 9:53 AM

My husband get health and dental though is job.  The first time I go to use the dental insurance and I find out it is a lame plan that does not offer much at all.  That it has a $1000.00 max per year per person and a 50 deductible.  To top it off most dental services render is only covered up to 60 percent.

I look into what they are taking out of my husband check for dental insurance and it is 24.00 every week.  That almost $100.00 a month for only three people. Is this really the going cost for dental insurance?  This is a joke to me when the coverages are so bad. His health insurance is not like this.  It is a very good plan for the cost so why is dentist all out of whack?

Wednesday, Sep. 15th 2010 9:46 AM

I have no dental coverage and a family of four.  I am looking for something affordable since right now the dental insurance plans for families,  have been running anywhere from $95.00 and up a month.  This is not what I would consider affordable at least not right now.  Is there anything that can help and not cost so much?
