My advise would be to add your children to your current dental plan you get though your job. Children should see a dentist by the time the either cut their first tooth or when they are one.
Some people take their children to see a dentist later but it been suggested the sooner the better. Since you do have dental insurance adding your children now is a good idea.
As for vision I suggest reviewing the visions plans that are offer on BestVisionPlans.com. They offer vision insurance in most states.

It use to be advise that a child should see a dentist by the age of two but I have been reading now it is even sooner at age one.
I did not take my son to see the dentist until he was three and I was really upset to find out that he had to have four fillings. So I agree the sooner the better. It is no fun being told that your child has cavities.
For Vision we have a plan called VSP my husband found it so I am not sure where but I did check the web site the last reply stated and they do offer the VSP at least in my zip. If it there for you I would say it is a good plan and you may wnat to check it out for yourself.

I think you should add your daughter to your dental plan. At three she has all her teeth and it is important to maintaing good oral health care even on baby teeth. I know some people that do not take their kids into see the dentist until they were five but I really feel personally that is just too old and causing risk to dental care.
