Connecticut Kids Dental Insurance

Tuesday, Dec. 14th 2010 9:37 AM

My sister has five kids and has no dental insurance on any of them.  She is not married and the rest of our family is always tring to help her out the best we can.  However she will not take the kids to the dentist like the should claiming no money.

So unless myself or my brother pays for her kids to go to the dentist they do not go at all regardless of cost.   I wanted to know if there were some time of dental plan we can get for low income or at least just for her kids.  I sure we will still be paying out for their health needs but if there was a way to make it less expensive that would be nice.

My goodness it good her kids have an Aunt and Uncle that care about them. I am on my own and have two kids myself but I do not care what I have to do to work longer and harder but my kids go to the dentist and any other health care providers they need too.

I am really low income but I manage. There are places she can take her kids to for free to really low cost dental and medical care.

For dental she can go to dental clinics for young kids many times if you provide proof you are low income they will do the dental work for free.

She could even try taking them to a dental school depending on the age of the child. There are also some state run programs that are still avail for children. She needs to pull out a phone book.

Those are some good suggestions if your sistere is still willing to follow though with any of them. If it is still up to you or your brother to help out and pay for things, then I would suggest getting them a dental discount plan.

At least this way you would be able to reduce the cost of there dental care and make it much more affordable for you and or your brother.

It is good that she has you for her kids or good for the kids really.

I have the DentalSave+ dental discount plan and it really saves me a bunch or money off my own dental needs. I would think this would be a great plan to get her and the kids.

However as best as you could I would try and get her to pay for it. It is so low cost that is the least she should be able to do. For a family I think it runs around $15.00 a month or so.

This website offers it just enter you zip code to check it out. Good lucky to you
