Mouthwash Banishing Cavities.
Studies are being done on a mouthwash concocted by a UCLA microbiologist that may render cavities and tooth decay a thing of the past. Wenyuan Shi, developed the “Smart Bomb Mouthwash”, is the chairman of the UCLA School of Dentistry’s oral biology section. The mouthwash acts as a sort of “smart bomb” against harmful bacteria like, S. mutans, a main cause of cavities and tooth decay.
More extensive clinical trials on the mouthwash may begin as early as March 2012.
