Right now it is just my son and I. My son is four and as not yet been able to see a dentist due to the fact that I have very little money and no dental insurance. The medical help I get only will pull teeth but for anything else I am stuck. Where can I go to get my son free dental care?

I am tossing between getting a dental HMO plan for family or getting a dental discount plan. I think cost wise for both are good. I need something that is low cost since I can not afford much right now. However not sure which is better to get. in your opinion is it better to get a dental insurance plan or a dental discoun plan?

My 16 year old teeth are not really white more like an off yellow. He bushes and never had any cavities so I am not upset with him for not taking care of his teeth. He is upset by how they look in pictures. When he smiles in a photo they look even darker then what they really are.
My dental insurance does not cover for whiten treatment and my dentist would chard $150.00 to have it done. This is just too much for me to spend when we have house hold bills that have to come first. Any advise on what I can have him try to lighten his teeth up?

My five year old son may have a cavity but I am not sure. Right now he brushes his teeth on his own and I do a quick once over just to make sure we get everything. However today I notice a brown spot on the side of one of the middle teeth that was not there before.
I tried brushing it off but it did not brush off. Is this a sign of a cavity? He was just at the dentist three months ago. Can he get a cavity this fast? Should I take him to see a dentist or see if it goes away on it own?

My husband will be losing his dental benefits by next year Jan 1 2011. He was told that they are dropping the dental insurance plans but will be getting a better medical insurance plan. We are okay with this since we have been reviewing the medical insurance change and it is much better.
The thing is we do not want to go without dental insurance and since I have some time to shop on line for dental insurance for our family can you advise which plan is the best out of what is on your web site. It is a little new for me buying anything on line yet alone insurance so your help will be appreciated

My wife want me to get a dental PPO plan for our son since he has to go to a childrens dentist that is not on our current HMO plan that I get though my job. We use to just pay any dental bills for my son but the dental office pricing is going up and getting very costly.
I would just pick an new dentist under our plan but it either my way and fighting with my wife or her way and getting a PPO plan which is what my son dental office will take. We live in New York do you have any PPOs plans and if so looking for one that will take just my son.

My daughter has three cavities and getting the filled without dental insurance will be very costly for me since I am on a very fixed income. I really need some help and advise on getting a dental insurance plan.
I would want a plan that can help me out as soon as posible. Two people at work are telling me that dental insurance will have waiting periods so it is too late for me to get anything now for the needed filling fo my daughter. Is that true. If so then want can I do? Please advise

I am getting so tired of being taken by dentist. When I first starting going to this one dentist he was charging $95.00 for just a cleaning. There are three of us so you can see when you add X-rays cost once a year it was pricey but I still managed.
Over the coarse of two years since then his cost for mind you use a basic cleaning is up to $125.00 I fed up. I called around only to find out that this seems to be the going rate. One dentist is 98.00 but when you add in that he wants to do X-rays and I would have office charges again we get back up over and above $125.00
Why can there not be cost stops on dental work. It like the keep changing their prices on a whim and I am the one trying to figure out how we are to come up with this kind of money. Any advise on were I can go for low cost dental care for basic need?

I am looking for a family dental plan for myself and my two children. Cost is not a big issues so long as I am getting a good over dental plan. Both my boys have good teeth and have just seen a dentist two months ago.
I would like to get dental insurance to help with the increasing cost of just getting basic dental care. I am very busy between work and raising to children I do not want to spend all day on line looking for dental insurance. I am not sure about insurance and do not really know where to start. Can you offer up some suggestions about your plans and want to pick.

What is the middle class income family to do when we do not get free dental care given to us because we have a job, yet our job does not offer us dental care because of cuts in our benefits. I have a family of four counting myself and no one as seen a dentist in over a year because we do not have any dental help. I not asking for anything free but affordable would be nice for a change.

I have a 18 month old daughter I brush her teeth twice a day and wipe them down after each meal. I just not sure when I need to start flossing her teeth. Right now I thing she would be too fussy about me doing that. She not too good with staying still when I brush her teeth. Also around what age should I start trying to get her to brush on her own.

Let me start by saying I do not have kids nor am I pregnant I have no disabilities and I am not collecting any type of state aid.
I do live in So CA and I do have a terrible toothache. I do work full time but do not get dental insurance though my job. I live off a very fixed income and have no one helping me out on with my bills. I am upset because dentist will not even help me out a little by giving me a payment plan.
What the heck is someone like me to do about getting affordable dental care when there seems to be no help in site.

We are a family of three and my son is only four. My husband just got laid off about a month ago and prior to that they were cutting his hours back. We do not have any extra money for anything let alone dental care.
I do not work but I am looking for at least a part time job for right now. We all need some dental work done I just do not know to what extent. We are desperate. I at least want my son to be able to see the dentist. Where can I turn to for state aid out here in West Virginia
