Need help to choosing dental insurance.

Friday, Aug. 26th 2011 6:11 AM

I am working as contractor and don’t have insurance. And I need to purchase insurance. My kids (11 and 6) and they need to have some dental work done (cavities and crown). What dental insurance is best for private contractor like me? Any dental insurance that is good so that I can sign up to have my kids dental work done right away.

Where can I buy family dental insurance in Westchester NY for that is affordable?

Wednesday, Aug. 24th 2011 6:00 AM

I have a family or four with and currently have no dental insurance coverage. I know some dental plans offer discounts off of the dental office charges, but I need to make sure that I would be saving money by paying the monthly dues and whatever the discount will be on the dentist visit. I would rather have dental insurance but will take what is affordable if it makes sense to do so

With medical and dental insurance,is vision coverage considered a part of medical.

Saturday, Aug. 20th 2011 6:31 AM

I am divorced with joint coverage with my kids. I agreed to have them covered with my medical and dental insurance. I just need to know if vision care is considered a part of medical. I ask because I feel that I am paying for everything and their mother has no obligations except draining me of my money.

Do you receive your dental insurance from someone other than your employer?

Thursday, Aug. 18th 2011 6:24 AM

Do you receive your dental insurance from someone other than your employer? If so who do you get it from? My husband’s job offers health insurance but not dental. We need a good company with affordable monthly payments for us and our 2 kids. We live in Los Angeles California and really can not afford more then around $50 a month for dental insurance care.

What is a typical cost for independent dental and vision insurance?

Tuesday, Aug. 16th 2011 5:16 AM

The reason I’m asking is because I’m thinking of leaving my full time job that offer me these benefits and delving into the world of full-time nanny.  Besides being sick to my stomach with corporate America, I hope to one day go back to school for a degree with early childhood education. I love working with kids.

My only concern with this career move is losing the benefits that come with a corporate employer. Does anyone know the average monthly cost for dental,  vision health insurance? Any suggestions for insurance companies to go with?

Why is Dental and Vision Insurance separate from your regular Health Insurance?

Sunday, Aug. 14th 2011 7:56 AM

I have regular health insurance for my kids and I.. I also have Dental and Vision insurance on just myself, because I can’t afford it for my kids. They are the ones who need it most. Why are dental and vision not included on health insurance? I’m not talking about for Braces or colored contacts, but for wellness check-ups, fillings, glasses if needed, etc.

How do I get insurance with kids and currently no employment?

Friday, Aug. 12th 2011 7:26 AM

I got laid off about year ago and still have not been able to find a job. I work random odd jobs every now and then to make ends meet. My health insurance from my layoff package is about to expire. My wife is still part time until they decide to hire her full time so she doesn’t get any benefits. we have two boys that I am worried about if something happens. Is there anyway to find dental. I tried a few places but they wanted an arm and a leg.

How can use both my current dental insurance and my ex-wife’s insurance plans for our kids dental care needs?

Thursday, Aug. 4th 2011 7:41 AM

My ex-wife uses my dental coverage for our kids denal care and does not use hers. However, I know it is effective. She maybe filing without my knowledge and pocketing the extra I pay due to the lack of her using it as a secondary through the dental office.

I believe she is paying then submitting the bill to her insurance on her own for reimbursement. So, how do I find out for sure if she is filing claims or have it added to her dental insurance for our kids? I feel that she has been scamming me like this for a long time and I have just naively sent her checks for the medical and dental bills. Things have gone smooth for her until I decided to mail the money directly to the dental office and then they started calling because I had overpaid. So now what do I do?

Can my ex wife have me pay for the full half of my kids braces without dental insurance?

Tuesday, Aug. 2nd 2011 6:28 AM

My Ex is remarried and carriers dental insurance on our kids through her work insurance and her new husbands insurance. She is telling me that I will owe half of the cost for braces without her new husband using his insurance.

I do not have a problem with that but, I told that is only fine if she doesn’t submit it to his insurance, but if she does and his insurance pays then I should only owe half of the out-of-pocket costs. She giving me a hard time about this but I do not see it being fair that she is tring to make money off me when cost for our children’s health and dental care is to be 50/50.

Health and dental insurance, are dependents only wife and kids?

Tuesday, Jul. 26th 2011 9:32 AM

Health and dental insurance, are dependents only wife and kids? Or can dependents also apply to extended family members that live and depend on you? Such as my mother may divorce my father and I also have an 18 year old sister but they both have no where else to go to but me to help them with the cost of health and medical care. I wondering if I can get a plan that would include them as my dependents since they are depented of me for their care right now.

Parents, do you have vision and dental insurance for your young kids?

Friday, Jul. 22nd 2011 7:18 AM

I would like to know if you have vision and dental insurance for you and your young kids, or just general health? If you don’t, do you find it difficult to budget enough for those for the two vision and dental appointments each year? Or are you like me where I have to sometimes cut back and only do one a year? I would like any ideas or tips you’ve learned to help budget in those expenses
