You may want to look into getting a dental discount plan for just your child since age would not be a factor. Many dental insurance plans will not let you have a minor on the plan by themselves you would need to include at least one adult.

Check on the American Dental Association web site. They have a children program for free dental care. It is random but worth looking into. They many also have information on dentist that are willing to help you with payment issues

There may be state aid options or programs still available for children dental care. She need to look and see. Also she may want to look at dental clinics. Many dental clinics offer low cost dental care and are more willing to work payment issue out when needed. For kids they tend to be more flexible.

Other option could be seeing if there are any dental schools near her. Dental schools sometimes offer free dental care for children and are also normally less in cost for their dental services.

Though many state services are being cut you may want to still look into getting state aid for your children dental care needs. Children have more help then adult do so you may get lucky and find something that can help you

Have you tried looking into seeing if you have any local dental clinics and or dental schools. Both will normally be much cheaper in cost for their dental services.

I think you should look into a dental discount plan since they will help you save money on a very low cost plan. I had them in the past and it work well for my dental needs.

I am not sure if there are any dental insurance plan that state they are only for low income households. However there are low cost dental plans options in most states.

When I was a kid my parents pull out a baby tooth of my that was really loose but not coming out. Give it a quick pull and see if that does not help.

Otherwise if you feel you can not do that go to the dentist you do not want the baby tooth staying in if it is ready to come out.

I would say give it a few more days before getting worried about it. But if you feel it is better to see a dentist then go. If you do not have dental insurance then you may want to get a dental discount plan for this since on a dental discount plan they start the next business day from signing up on line.

This way it will help keep your sons dental cost low at dentist that take the plan.

You should do what you feel is best. Normally baby teeth do come out on their own given time. Maybe wait a few more days and if nothing happening then see a dentist. It should fall under the cheap extraction cost since it is a simple pull.

Sounds like to me you are going to be paying in cash for your son’s dental care at least for the first dental visit. If you X is not willing to work with you it seems that she just wants you to foot a larger bill.
