New York Kids dental care, My son teeth are crooked

Thursday, Jan. 27th 2011 8:34 AM

New York Kids dental care, My son teeth are crooked:  My 19 month old son teeth are coming in crooked looking to me.   A few are straight but it look as if the other teeth are crooked. I am not sure want I should do about this.

If his baby teeth are coming in crooked does that mean his adult teeth will be too?  Should I take him to see a dentist?  Can they be corrected as baby teeth?  Any information would be good. Thanks

Even if your sons baby teeth are coming in crooked dose not mean that his adult teeth will be. However with regural dental office visits your dentist can keep an eye on this and do proventive dental care to help make is adult teeth come in correctly. Though you do have some time so I would not worry or stress out to much over adult teeth.

My dauther baby teeth came in a little crooked too but they straighten out when all the baby teeth came in. I do think you should take your son to see a dentist.

Dentist advises that a child should start going to the dentist by the time they cut their first tooth or when they are a year old. So it seems a good time just to have things check out and to help give you peace of mind.

Try not worry so much, crooked baby teeth tend to strainten out on their own. However when your son is older if the baby teeth seem to be an issue the dentist can put in space mainters and do other proventive care to help his adult teeth come in correctly.

Since he is almost two anyway I think going to the dentist is a good idea. It is important for him to start seeing a dentist at least twice a years so that you can stay on top of his oral health care.
