Children dental insurance, Out of work and need dental care
I just got laid off about two months ago. My son has a cavity at least I think it is a cavity since I can see a brown spot on his tooth that I can not brush off. Do to the fact that I am currently out of work I have very little money. Where can I get a cheap dental plan for my son so that I can afford to have his tooth fixed?

Sorry to hear you are going though a tough time right now. If you feel you can afford to get a low cost dental insurance plan like a HMO dental plan you may be able to get it just for your son to keep the cost low and then be able to have your son dental work done.
Many HMO plans offer free preventive care. So make sure you pick a plan that does. Then review filling cost normally filling are still very low cost if you have dental insurance in place.

I agree that you should try and get dental insurance if you can afford to. There are some HMO dental plans that for two may only cost around $20 – $25 a month but it depends on the state you live in.
You can also off set your son dental cost by getting a dental discount plan for $15.00 a month for two $9.95 for just your son. A discount plan start right away so that you are not having to worry about any waiting periods that some dental insurance have.

Until you get back on your feet with a new job. Try looking into either a dental clinic for a dental school for your son tooth. You may be able to get free to very low cost dental work done and it is worth looking into. Good luck and may things get better soon
